Getit app is now available for Android phones. This app lets you search for places based on your location using GPS. You can search for places in your locality like Restaurants, Hotels, Hotels, Real Estate, Auto, Electronics, Travel and much more. They launched their iPhone app earlier this month and BlackBerry app recently.

GETIT, which is one of the popular local searching platform in India with the Yellow Pages and GETIT website, has launched GETIT SMS app in partnership with Shorthand. This Java app uses SMS to search, based on different categories, so that you don’t need to worry about data charges.
