HTC EVO 4G+ Announced In South Korea

Yesterday, we posted the leaked pics and video of the HTC EVO 4G+ and now, the company officially unveiled the device at their website. HTC EVO 4G+ looks quite similar to the HTC EVO 3D, but it does not have a dual camera for 3D video recording, nor does it support 3D playback. HTC EVO 4G+ runs on the latest Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) Operating System. Check out the complete specs below.

This handset measures 126mm x 65mm x 12.05mm and weighs just 160 grams. The HTC EVO 4G+ will available exclusively to the KT customers in South Korea. You can even use the WiBro Hot Spot feature, which allows you to connect up to eight devices to a wireless network at the same time. The price and release date of the HTC EVO 4G+ have not been announced yet.

More Than 1 Million Units Of Samsung Galaxy S II Sold In South Korea

Earlier this year, Samsung announced the powerful Galaxy S II smartphone at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2011 in South Korea. Recently, we posted that, the Samsung Galaxy S II international pre-orders crossed 3 million units. And now, Samsung Hub is reporting that, Samsung managed to sell more than 1 million units of the powerful Galaxy S II in South Korea.
Samsung Galaxy S II features a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED Plus display with 800×480 pixels resolution, Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) operating system, 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 3D user interface, HSPA+ connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0+HS, 8 megapixel camera with full HD (1080p) video recording, Android Market, Social Hub Premium, Readers Hub, Game Hub, Music Hub, Kies Air, NFC (Near Field Communication) and more.
Samsung Galaxy S II was released in South Korea on April 29th. Samsung sold 1 million units of the original Galaxy S in 70 days, but the company easily managed to sell 1 million units of the Galaxy S II in just 30 days. This handset is available in South Korea on the SKT, KT and LG U+ networks. Samsung sold 100,000 units of Galaxy S II in 3 days, 200,000 in 8 days, 400,000 in 14 days, 500,000 in 18 days and 1,000,000 in just 30 days.

HTC expands in Asia-Pacific region as it appoints heads of North and South Asia

HTC with it’s quietly brilliant tagline has been silently expanding in Asia as many users flock to the Android Operating system. HTC also makes Windows 7 Phones . Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan, Vietnam and China will fit under North Asia headed by Jack Tong . Lennard Hoornik will be heading HTC South Asia Pacific which includes Singapore, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippine, Australia and New Zealand.

HTC announces Jack Tong as president of HTC North Asia and Lennard Hoornik as president of HTC South Asia

Over the last six years in his previous role as vice president of HTC Asia, Jack Tong grew HTC from a relatively young brand to one of the region’s mobile leaders. In 2010, his leadership propelled HTC Asia to 200% growth, making it the fastest-growing region for the company and laying the groundwork for today’s announcement of expanded investment.
As president of HTC South Asia Pacific, Lennard Hoornik will be based in Singapore and responsible for Singapore, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippine, Australia and New Zealand. Hoornik brings a wealth of expertise in the mobile industry where he has held multiple management positions in the Asia-Pacific region.
