AT&T launching LG Thrill 4G and HTC Status this month, BlackBerry Torch 4G in August?
AT&T is one of the largest US carriers and they are offering number of Android devices. Recently, they announced two new Android devices known as HTC Status and LG Thrill 4G. HTC Status is AT&T version of HTC ChaCha which is a small device that comes with a dedicated Facebook button. On the other side, Thrill 4G is AT&T version of LG Optimus 3D which is LG’s first ever device with 3D technology. AT&T didn’t tell us when they are planning to launch both of them officially but it looks like it’s around the corner as Android-Central got their hands on a leaked shot which is informing us about these two devices as well as some other phones too. If the image above is to be believed, AT&T will be launching both devices in July, probably later this month. No words on the prices but you can expected Thrill 4G for around $200 on contract and HTC Status for $100 on contract, anyway AT&T will clear the air sooner or later.
As you can see in the image above, another unknown device is leaked named BlackBerry Torch 4G. As far as I know, I never heard of any Torch 4G, so what is it? It looks like it’s AT&T version of the upcoming BlackBerry Torch 2 which is leaked several times now and I believe that RIM will be launching it soon as AT&T is planning to launch it in August, so hopefully we will see it anytime now. AT&T is also gearing up to launch Pantech Pursuit II and Pantech Breeze III, and both devices are coming soon.
So AT&T users, are you looking forward to any of the following devices?

Verizon launching Droid Bionic on August 4?

Motorola is planning to launch two new Android devices in USA via Verizon Wireless and they are Droid Bionic and Droid 3. Droid Bionic was recently leaked and it was completely redesigned as compared to the model we saw at CES. We heard that Motorola will launch it later this summer and now another leaked shot is leaked which is giving us some information related to the Droid Bionic as well as Droid 3. Recently, we told you that Verizon is launching Droid 3 on July 14th in stores and the leaked shot is telling us the same thing. What’s new in the image is that Verizon is unveiling the new Droid Bionic on August 4th, that’s according to the screenshot above unveiled by Android-Central.
Droid-Bionic was announced back in January, it’s already very late and I hope Verizon will finally launch it in August. At the moment, nothing is confirmed so the leaked release date is subject to change. The image is also showing LG Cosmos and Samsung Convoy, they are not smartphones however Verizon will be launching them in August too.
So Droid fans, are you going to pick Droid 3 or Droid Bionic?

HP Opal 7-Inch WebOS coming out in August?
HP recently announced the TouchPad which is their first ever WebOS tablet. WebOS is an amazing operating system and a massive challenge to operating systems like Android and iOS. At the moment, Apple iPad is ruling the tablet world but that doesn’t mean others can’t try their luck. Android entered the tablet game last year, and Android tablets are not famous like Apple iPad but they are still growing gradually. HP TouchPad is here to take down both Apple iPad and Android but it’s not an easy task. So now it looks like HP is planning to increase their WebOS tablet army because we heard a few months ago that HP is working on a 7-Inch tablet and it was codenamed as HP Opal and we also heard that it will be out this September. Opal will feature a 7-Inch display with resolution of 1024×768 and its design and dimensions will be similar to Galaxy Tab. HP didn’t tell anyone about this tablet so far but now some more information is out about this upcoming tablet.
Taiwan Economic News is reporting that Inventec Corp. which is a major Taiwanese contract manufacturer of personal computers, they will be making tablets for HP, and orders for HP TouchPad are around 400,000-450,000 every month. They are further reporting that HP will also launch 7-Inch tablet sometime in August and Inventec will be making both of them. HP is also Inventec’s largest buyer of notebooks, so no wonder HP has chosen their trusted partner for the tablets too. Inventec is planning to ship more than 20 million notebook and tablets this year.
Hopefully, HP will soon reveal their next WebOS tablet probably in August, so who’s looking forward to it, anyone?

ASUS EeePad Slider and 3G Transformer hitting UK in August

Earlier this year at CES 2011, ASUS officially announced the ASUS EeePad Transformer and EeePad Slider. Both are Android tablets and feature some amazing specs. EeePad Transformer is already available in several countries, and when it was launched by BestBuy in USA, it was sold out with-in few hours. Now ASUS has officially announced via their Facebook account that ASUS EeePad Slider is coming to UK in August as well as 3G version of EeePad Transformer is also coming in August. Well, ASUS didn’t tell us when these upcoming models are hitting USA, but we can expect it sometime around August or September.
EeePad Slider looks like an amazing tablet, and the design is also really cool. EeePad Transformer is selling like hotcakes in USA and other parts of the world, and people would love to get their hands on 3G version of it. No words on the price of both tablets, but what my guess is that EeePad Slider will cost a little more than EeePad Transformer, and the 3G version of EeePad Transformer will be on top of the line. It’s possible that EeePad Slider will feature Intel Atom processor instead of Tegra 2.
So people in UK, are you planning to get one of these in August, anyone?
