New BlackBerry Smartphone launching in India tomorrow , Torch 9860 ?

RIM is launching yet another BlackBerry smartphone in India tomorrow going by the invite we have received. Our bets are on the  Torch 9860 (BlackBerry Storm 3) which was unveiled few weeks back . The phone is expected to hit stores at around Rs.29500 within the next few days according to our sources. The 9860 is a full touch BlackBerry running the OS 7 and powered by a 1.2 GHz Processor. The Storm had a SurePress keyboard which drew a lot of criticism and the company has done away with even the Storm name and adopted the Torch branding. The Torch 9810 and Bold 9900 are already available in India.  The 9860 has already been launched in many countries in the Middle East.

Acer launching slider tablet this year?

Acer is a well known technology companies in the world and their desktops and laptops are famous. A few months ago, they launched few Honeycomb tablets, Acer ICONIA A100 and ICONIA A500. Now it looks like Acer is impressed by their tablets sales and planning to launch another one. DigiTimes is reporting that Acer is working on a 10-Inch tablet PC and it will feature a sliding keyboard, probably similar to ASUS EeePad Slider. As ASUS tablet comes with a full-sliding QWERTY keyboard, I am sure Acer tablet will offer the same one.

I hope Acer sliding tablet comes with an interesting design and Acer is planning to launch it later this year between October and December. It will be running on an ARM-based processor and will be manufacture by Compal. At the moment, we don’t know on which operating system it will be running on, but the possibility is that it will feature Android OS. As Windows 8 (which is Microsoft OS for tablets and others) is not out yet, so it’s possible that it will feature either Honeycomb or Ice Cream Sandwich, but as Android 4.0 is also coming later this year, so probably it might be one of the first tablets to run on Android 4.0.

Anyway, let’s wait for some official words from Acer; I am sure they will be revealing it anytime soon. So who’s looking forward to it?

AT&T launching LG Thrill 4G and HTC Status this month, BlackBerry Torch 4G in August?

AT&T is one of the largest US carriers and they are offering number of Android devices. Recently, they announced two new Android devices known as HTC Status and LG Thrill 4G. HTC Status is AT&T version of HTC ChaCha which is a small device that comes with a dedicated Facebook button. On the other side, Thrill 4G is AT&T version of LG Optimus 3D which is LG’s first ever device with 3D technology. AT&T didn’t tell us when they are planning to launch both of them officially but it looks like it’s around the corner as Android-Central got their hands on a leaked shot which is informing us about these two devices as well as some other phones too. If the image above is to be believed, AT&T will be launching both devices in July, probably later this month. No words on the prices but you can expected Thrill 4G for around $200 on contract and HTC Status for $100 on contract, anyway AT&T will clear the air sooner or later.

As you can see in the image above, another unknown device is leaked named BlackBerry Torch 4G. As far as I know, I never heard of any Torch 4G, so what is it? It looks like it’s AT&T version of the upcoming BlackBerry Torch 2 which is leaked several times now and I believe that RIM will be launching it soon as AT&T is planning to launch it in August, so hopefully we will see it anytime now. AT&T is also gearing up to launch Pantech Pursuit II and Pantech Breeze III, and both devices are coming soon.

So AT&T users, are you looking forward to any of the following devices?

Verizon launching Droid Bionic on August 4?

Motorola is planning to launch two new Android devices in USA via Verizon Wireless and they are Droid Bionic and Droid 3. Droid Bionic was recently leaked and it was completely redesigned as compared to the model we saw at CES. We heard that Motorola will launch it later this summer and now another leaked shot is leaked which is giving us some information related to the Droid Bionic as well as Droid 3. Recently, we told you that Verizon is launching Droid 3 on July 14th in stores and the leaked shot is telling us the same thing. What’s new in the image is that Verizon is unveiling the new Droid Bionic on August 4th, that’s according to the screenshot above unveiled by Android-Central.

Droid-Bionic was announced back in January, it’s already very late and I hope Verizon will finally launch it in August. At the moment, nothing is confirmed so the leaked release date is subject to change. The image is also showing LG Cosmos and Samsung Convoy, they are not smartphones however Verizon will be launching them in August too.

So Droid fans, are you going to pick Droid 3 or Droid Bionic?

T-Mobile UK launching HTC Flyer, coming soon this month

We recently got our hands on the HTC Flyer which is an amazing and versatile Android powered tablet. It’s currently available in USA, UK and several other countries. It is offered by Sprint in USA and some retailers and few carriers are offering it in UK and now another UK carrier is getting ready to launch the HTC Flyer in UK and it’s T-Mobile. T-Mobile has officially added the HTC Flyer on their Coming Soon page and it’s due this month so probably you will see it later this month. HTC Flyer is an expensive tablet and don’t expect it free on tablet as 3-UK is offering it for £169 on contract, so expect almost the same price tag.

HTC Flyer will pack the Magic Pen which is actually for free in UK. It’s an amazing accessory and makes the Flyer experience way better. It’s not a dual-core tablet like other tablets in market these days but trust me, Flyer runs so smoothly and fast on a single-core 1.5 GHz processor.

So any of our reader getting one from T-Mobile UK?

Samsung launching WP7 version of Galaxy S II?

Samsung is one of the largest mobile phone manufacturers in the world and they have made some amazing devices in last few years. They recently launched the Samsung Galaxy S II which is considered as one of the best Android devices at the moment and Samsung sold 3 million Galaxy S II units in just 55 days and it’s now Samsung’s fastest selling device. Now a Samsung device is showing up on Bluetooth SIG and its model number is SGH-i937 and WMPU is reporting that it’s a Windows Phone 7 Mango device, because the Bluetooth profile of SGH-i937 is same to WP7 profile and also the device is showing up on Occasional Gamers list of WP7 handsets, I think it’s enough to prove that it’s a WP7 device.

Also rumors are on the street that this device will be similar to SGSII, like it will feature a dual-core processor, slim design, Super AMOLED display and some other features of it. So actually Samsung is working on a SGSII with Windows Phone 7 but it’s just a rumor so take it with a grain of salt, but I am sure Windows Phone lovers will love to see a device like SGSII running on WP7 Mango, no?

Well, so far that’s all we know about this upcoming device. I hope we will be able to see a leaked screenshot in a near future. So anyone interested in SGSII with WP7 colors?

Note: Image above is just a mock-up

BestBuy launching Droid 3 on July 14th?

Recently Motorola launched Motorola Milestone 3 in China via China Telecom which is actually successor to Milestone 2 which is known as Droid 2 in USA. Droid 2 was launched before Milestone 2 but this time, Milestone 3 is launched first but that doesn’t mean there will be no Droid 3. Droid 3 is around the corner and it will hit Verizon Wireless soon, as Droid Attic is claiming that it will be hitting Best Buy on July 14th. We recently told you that Verizon will be launching it on July 7 so maybe it will hit stores on July 14th and probably Best Buy will be carrying it exclusively.

Droid 3 comes with a dual-core OMAP 4430 processor, an 8 megapixel camera capable of video recording at 1080p, and it’s running on the latest version of Android. Droid 3 will feature some pre-loaded Verizon apps just like other Droid phones. So who’s looking forward to Motorola Droid 3, anyone?

HTC ChaCha was announced by HTC at the Mobile World Congress and it’s a good looking, cute little device. Recently, it was leaked with AT&T branding and we told you that AT&T will be launching it soon. Now BGR is reporting that AT&T will be launching it in coming weeks, probably after one week and AT&T will launch it as HTC Status, it’s not confirmed though. My guess is that AT&T will be launching it in July as their first ever device with deep Facebook integration. Sure, this device is a treat for all teenagers, no?

So anyone planning to get one from AT&T?

Recently, Motorola announced two new devices, Sprint Photon 4G and Motorola Triumph and both seems to be good devices. Now it looks like Motorola is getting back to their old partner which is Verizon Wireless, and together they have launched several devices in USA. Now they are planning to launch another device and it’s going to be none other then Motorola Droid 3. We recently showed you a video of Droid 3, which actually confirmed it that the device is around the corner and Verizon will be launching it soon, because the video was made by Motorola and it was leaked. Mobilink launching HTC Sensation next week in Pakistan

Back in April, HTC officially unveiled their first ever dual-core device which is known as HTC Sensation. HTC Sensation is a very good device and we also gave you our thoughts on it. The device is already available in India and now it looks like it’s heading towards Pakistan. Mobilink Pakistan will be the first one to officially launch this device in Pakistan and they are planning to launch it next week for only 56,000 PKR, claims WCCFTech. It’s already available in Pakistan unofficially but the price is too high and one retailer is offering it for almost 80,000, talk about getting some mega profit.

Mobilink is Pakistan’s largest network and they are also offering Nexus S, which is also a good device. HTC Sensation is a true competitor of Samsung Galaxy S II. HTC Sensation comes with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and Adreno 220 GPU, 4.3-Inch touchscreen display with qHD resolution, an 8 MP camera good enough to record videos at 1080p and a front-facing camera for video chat, 1,520 mAH battery and the aluminum unibody construction makes the Sensation even sexier.

Mobilink is launching it with a 3 month free GPRS, so you don’t need to pay anything for your mobile internet for 3-months. HTC Sensations seems to be an amazing device, and our complete HTC Sensation review will be out soon.

So anyone in Pakistan grabbing HTC Sensation next week?

Thanks Ammar for the tip!
