Apple iPad 3 Might Launch in March
We’ve had numerous rumors surrounding the launch date of Apple’s next generation iPad. But now it seems we have a different launch date according to sources.
According to a blog post on AllThingsD, the next iPad will be launched in the first week of March and not in February as previously speculated.
The blog which is owned by Dow Jones, publisher of the Wall Street Journal states that the iPad 3 is most likely to be announced in San Francisco at a big event most probably set to take place in the Yerba Buena Centre for Arts. The source says that Apple would start selling the new tablet a week after the announcement has been made.
The iPad 2 was launched on 11th March 2011 at an event after the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2011 that took place from 14th – 17th February 2011. This year however MWC is from 27th February – 1st March 2012 and that means Apple’s event will be much closer and will grab a lot of attention away from the MWC products.
This will also be the first iPad launched in the absence of Steve Jobs and this could possibly be the last one he helped design as well. That coupled with the impressive feature list that has been rumored is sure to attract a lot of customers.

Apple Might Release 4G/4S Model Along with iPhone 5
Apple’s next generation iPhone/iPhone 5 is easily the most anticipated gadget this year. The launch date has been speculated numerous times but we still have no announcement so far. But latest rumours suggest October 4th as a more than likely day for Apple to hold an event and announce the next generation iPhones.
This time as rumours indicate, we should be able to see more than one iPhone. Firstly we have the iPhone 5 and then as the picture above indicates, we will see a cheaper/smaller iPhone 4G or 4S.
The picture above is the AT&T inventory list that clearly shows an iPhone 4G as well as cases for the iPhone 5. So this almost confirms the two iPhones rumour. But anyway we will get to know for sure in a few days.

Apple might announce the iPhone 5 or whatever it is called on Oct 4th !
AllThingsD is reporting that Apple is going to hold its next big launch event on Tuesday , October 4th . And what else could Apple launch other than the next iPhone rumored as the iPhone 5 ? AllThingD has got the information from “sources close to the situation”. The device is expected to hit stores within few weeks after the announcement. This will be the first major product launch event for Apple after Steve Jobs resigned as CEO and Tim Cook took over.
While we expect Tim Cook to launch the product , a guest appearance by Jobs could be that one-more-thing which is pretty common in Apple product launch presentations. But it would certainly be interesting event to watch out for. While the iPhone 4 was plagued with the Antennagate controversy , Apple has managed to sell millions of iPhone 4s worldwide and the company even managed to finally ship the white version of the device few months ago. The new iPhone is expected to run on the latest version of iOS 5 which is currently available as a beta to developers. It’s not clear if the device will be known as the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S as there have been rumors about a cheaper iPhone as well.
iPhone fans , are you looking forward to the iPhone 5 ? How many of you have decided to pickup an iPhone 5 considering it’s coming soon !

Apple iPad 3 Might Use Samsung AMOLED Screen
Tim Cook, Apple’s COO and acting CEO had visited South Korea last week and reports state that, he went to discuss the possibility of using Samsung’s AMOLED screens for the upcoming iPad 3.
The Apple iPad 3 as we mentioned earlier might be more interesting than the iPad 2. It seems that Apple have planned to launch the iPad 3 towards the end of 2011 and that Samsung’s AMOLED technology might be used in it.
Earlier reports suggested that the production capacity of the AMOLED units wasn’t acceptable to Apple since Samsung had a tough time supplying screens for their own phones.
The news has not yet been confirmed and as of now it is just a rumour since a Samsung Mobile Display spokesperson said that he has not heard of such discussions taking place. The rumour suggests that Apple offered Samsung an advance for the AMOLED units.
The offer comes at a time when the two companies are engaged in a legal dispute which again causes us to doubt the legibility. Lets wait and see what happens eventually.

Android Honeycomb Might Require Dual Core Processors
More than 40 tablets are expected to launch this week at the CES. Most of the tablets will be powered by the Google’s upcoming operating System, the Android Honeycomb. The only tablets that caught our attention are the Motorola Droid Xoom and Toshiba’s upcoming tablet with Nvidia’s Tegra 2 dual core processor. According to the rumors, Android Honeycomb will not only require a high resolution display with minimum requirement up to 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, but it will also require a dual core processor. This is definitely a good news for those who are planning to buy Android tablets in the coming months.
Bobby Cha, Managing Director of Enspert, recently said to PC Magazine that, Enspert is currently working on tablets running FroYo, Honeycomb as well as Gingerbread. Android Honeycomb will require a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor to “run properly”. There is no restriction on the screen size, since Honeycomb can work on 7 inch tablets as well as 10 inch tablets with a minimum resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.
If the rumors are true, then it will be a good news for most of us, who are planning to buy Android powered tablets, but it can be a bad news for one million Galaxy Tab owners and also for the buyers of other Android tablets. Galaxy Tab owners will not be able to update their OS to Honeycomb, and they might forever stuck with the Gingerbread OS. Bobby Cha also said that, Honeycomb will be shipped to manufacturers towards the end of January.
