iPhone 5 To Have A Screen Smaller Than 4-inches With A Metal Back? [REPORT]
Reports regarding the iPhone 5 design and release date keep on coming! A report published today suggests, as we’ve been hearing before, that the iPhone 5 will have a slightly larger screen than the iPhone 4: a 3.7” edge-to-edge display which will be achieved by slimming down the panel’s bezel.
The report comes from the imaginative folks over on DigiTimes which cite upstream panel supplier which have supposedly revealed that the iPhone 5’s panel size will be less than 4”. This points towards a possible 3.7” display which will be achieved by ensuring that the display bezel is as thin as possible. These would make the next generation iPhone’s display an edge-to-edge one.
Besides this, it is stated that the back would be made out of metal instead of glass.
Despite rumors about iPhone 5 featuring a 4.2-inch panel circulating within the IT market for a while, following a leak from Apple’s website in Switzerland in early August, sources from upstream panel suppliers have recently revealed that the iPhone 5's panel size will still be less than 4-inch.
In addition, iPhone 5's back design will be changed to a metal chassis instead of reinforced-glasses.
The sources added that the iPhone 5 will adopt a 3.5- to 3.7-inch panel with a design to allow the bezel of the panel to become thinner and make the screen look larger.
We actually have no way to confirm this report until Apple actually announces the next-generation iPhone itself but rumors of a larger-screen’d iPhone have existed for a long, long time. Previous reports have suggested a 4” display which, well, sound like a better idea to us than 3.7” one which is only a marginal improvement. I personally would love to see an iPhone with a display larger than 3.5” as I find it quite difficult to adjust to a small screen (like that of the iPhone 4) after using the brilliant 4.3” display on the Samsung Galaxy S II.
In other iPhone 5 related news, there are reports flying around which suggest that the iPhone 5 will not only be available on Sprint but on T-Mobile as well! This would certainly help Apple strengthen their position against Android smartphones as the leading smartphone manufacturer.
The iPhone 5 is expected to be announced in the coming weeks with a release scheduled for late September or sometime in October.

Comscore Report : iOS traffic is bigger than Android in India – iOS – 7.4% vs Android 6.5%
comScore Inc. announced the launch of Device Essentials which is a new service that reports digital traffic as per devices ranging from computers and mobile phones to e-readers and gaming devices. Using this service, analysis traffic pattern from different devices was made in thirteen different countries including India, which showed that 7.4% of traffic comes from iOS devices while Android follows with 6.5%

iOS managed to grab the cake when it comes to traffic in India, but this is mainly due to the contribution from iPad users with a whopping 4 % and also 0.6% contribution from iPod Touch. When it comes to mobile phones Android is way ahead of iPhones with 6.0% and the latter at 2.8%. Though there are Android tablets are available in India, only 0.5% traffic comes from these devices which clearly shows that Android tablets are not very popular among consumers.
