OnLive comes to Android and iOS

Cloud gaming solution , OnLive , has finally made its way to Android and iOS. The applications for the two mobile operating systems will allow users to play their favorite console or PC game on their smartphones.

Initial reports indicate that the image quality is superior on the iOS version of the application. OnLive works by compressing and streaming the video component of the game by performing all the heavy crunching on a server in the cloud. This allows average users to play all the latest games without worrying about hardware updates. The mobile apps let users access the same games on the move and play them.

Native Screen Capture comes to Android, finally!

Screenshot – an image of a your current phone display that can be saved as a graphics file, a feature many rooted, Sense 3.0 and Galaxy series users take for granted. This feature is fun, not only a tool for sharing (and boasting), but also pivotal for reviewing apps and pointing out errors.

As one can only wonder why Google took so long to get the ball rolling on this one, but it is ultimately implementing native screen capture in the shortly to be heralded Ice Cream Sandwich. Just yesterday before the launch the guys at AndroidPolice excavated some code, informing that it would just take a simple press of both the volume down + power button and VOILA!  This feature was later confirmed at the Google – Samsung event where ICSand Galaxy Nexus were showcased.

It just got so much smoother for you to post your pimped-out screens for your iPhone friends to drool over.

One feature down, lots more to go…. Are there any features you want Google to include in their next update, if yes then let us know in the comment section. All I desire is to Google to take it up another notch and add native video (with sound) capture. That would be EPIC!

Samsung Galaxy S II LTE confirmed! Comes with 4.5″ display

Did you find the Samsung Galaxy s II’s 4.3? Super AMOLED plus screen to be small for you? If yes then Samsung has confirmed that they will be bringing out Samsung Galaxy S II LTE which will feature a 4.5? of Super AMOLED plus goodness. Samsung has also upgraded the hardware specs, keep reading for more info.

Samsung Galaxy S II will be the world’s first multi-mode phone which will be compatible with LTE, WCDMA and GSM. It will also have a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, I guess it will have the Exynos itself which was used in the 4.3? version but clocked at 1.5GHz. They also have upgraded the battery to 1850 mAh. Other than the processor, display and battery  nothing much has changed, it will have NFC, 8MP camera with flash.

Just a while back we had posted a mysterious device with the model no. GT I9250 getting Wi-Fi certification, is that rumored device the Galaxy S II? We doubt it, as the model number of the 4.3? version is GT I9100 so this device will also have something related to that and not I9250. Well we need to wait for some more time to confirm this, but this device looks really great and the 1.5GHz processor coupled with 4.5? display really get’s me excited.
