Native Screen Capture comes to Android, finally!
Screenshot – an image of a your current phone display that can be saved as a graphics file, a feature many rooted, Sense 3.0 and Galaxy series users take for granted. This feature is fun, not only a tool for sharing (and boasting), but also pivotal for reviewing apps and pointing out errors.
As one can only wonder why Google took so long to get the ball rolling on this one, but it is ultimately implementing native screen capture in the shortly to be heralded Ice Cream Sandwich. Just yesterday before the launch the guys at AndroidPolice excavated some code, informing that it would just take a simple press of both the volume down + power button and VOILA! This feature was later confirmed at the Google – Samsung event where ICSand Galaxy Nexus were showcased.
It just got so much smoother for you to post your pimped-out screens for your iPhone friends to drool over.
One feature down, lots more to go…. Are there any features you want Google to include in their next update, if yes then let us know in the comment section. All I desire is to Google to take it up another notch and add native video (with sound) capture. That would be EPIC!

Nokia X7 and E6 Finally Shipping
Nokia just announced via its Nokia Conversations corporate blog that it has begun shipping its latest Symbian devices , the Nokia X7 and E6 as of today. The Nokia X7 is a monoblock form factor device with a 4? screen and the same internals as the Nokia E7 and other Symbian 3 devices. The Nokia E6 on the other hand makes it a bit more interesting by mixing the classic portrait qwerty design of the E72 with a new high resolution touch screen panel and upgrading the specs all over. Now with the same internals as other S^3 devices , the phone has what can be termed as a retina display.
Nokia E6
- QWERTY and touch experience offers faster navigation and operation than either a pure touch or keyboard-only system.
- Direct access to Microsoft business solutions (Mail for Exchange, Microsoft Communicator Mobile and Microsoft SharePoint).
- An 8-megapixel full focus camera with dual-LED flash 720p video recording and 8GB of internal memory.
Nokia X7
- Huge 4” inch screen with preloaded games for entertainment enthusiasts.
- 8-megapixel full focus camera with 720p video recording, dual-LED flash and 8GB memory card preinstalled.
- Beautiful, unique design. Toughened glass and seamless stainless steel.
The devices will ship with Symbian Anna onboard which brings in a new split screen keyboard , portrait qwerty and brand new icons. In typical Nokia fashion , this update is expected to roll out for other S^3 devices at an unforeseen , sometime in the future.

Nokia says that it’s finally shipping the C2-00 Dual SIM phone
Nokia has today announced that it’s finally shipping the Dual SIM C2-00 this quarter in markets such as India, China, Africa and Brazil which are developing markets. We got our hands on the phone at CommunicAsia in June 2010 and we don’t know what took Nokia so long to get this phone out in the market when the likes of Micromax and Karbonn churn out new Dual SIM phones every month.
The C2 has a talktime of around 5 hours and a standby time of 19 days. It has one swappable SIM card slot and runs on the Series 40 operating system.
The price of the C2-00 is expected to be 45 Euros before taxes which works out to roughly around Rs.3000. The handset is expected to hit stores along with the X1-01 this quarter. We are not convinced until we really see them at stores.

HTC Desire HD and Desire Z finally appear on HTC India website
The Desire HD and Desire Z have been available in the retail market in India for quite some time now but only now we are seeing them on the official website of HTC India .
We are expecting the official announcement soon.
I seriously can’t understand why they would issue an official statment about the launch of the handset after it’s already available in the market. Its not just HTC, its a problem with most mobile brands in India.
Thx Aravindhan !
