Create Visually Engaging Animated Photographs From Your Videos Using The New Cinemagram App For iPhone – Download Now
Instagram, Lovestagram and now Cinemagram. Every way we turn there is a new ‘gram’ application which uses the power of visual art to entice users in to using the service. As we all know by now, Instagram is the popular photo sharing application which allows filters to be applied to photographs and shared with the Instagram network. Lovestagram is a soon to be made live service which has been created by an adoring girlfriend as a valentines day gift for her man, and Cinemagram, well that is a new application released onto the App Store two days ago which exists to create a beautiful hybrid image born out of image and video.
Created by Factyle Inc, Cinemagram offers users the ability to create visually engaging and animated photographs by offering the ability to animate small portions of the image to give it a ‘moving’ effect. The Cinemagram application joins the many thousand apps which are already in the thriving photography section of the App Store, but is sure to stand out and gain some traction due to the unique and eye pleasing functions that it offers.
The app looks very simplistic in its design, featuring a standard tab bar navigation interface that we have all seen before in apps like Instagram. The user interface of Cinemagram benefits from some polish and customization to make it fit in with the developers view of how the application should look. Factyle Inc don’t provide a great deal of information about Cinemagram on the App Store or through their website, other than to say it allows the creation of "a stunning hybrid between photo and video".
The steps to using Cinemagram also follow the same minimalistic approach that seems to have been given to the App Store description as well as the official website:
Film a short video clip using the device camera which is approximately 2-3 seconds in length. Animate a small region. Apply awesome xpro, vintage filters. Share to Twitter, Tumblr or Facebook. The steps do make it seem like a very simple process, but with the UI showing an internal settings option and the need to ‘animate’ a small region, I am betting there are a few intricacies that have been missed out, or in the words of an Apple television commercial, "some sequences have been shortened". With that said, the end result seems to be very effective if the featured Cinemagrams are anything to go by, but I am not sure whether $1.99 to effectively create a gif file is worth the cost.
The Cinemagram application is available on the App Store at a cost of $1.99 and is compatible with all devices capable of running iOS 5.0 and above.

App Zap for Mac Makes Uninstalling Apps A Walk In The Park – Download Now
We love our Macs here at Redmond Pie, and we love the way OS X works. The ease of use blended with subtle power should you desire it makes OS X the best choice in our minds, though that’s another argument for a different day.
The way OS X handles app installations may be very different from the way Windows handles the situation, and to a point we think it’s the best way to go about things; the app itself resides in an Applications folder, with all the supported files elsewhere. Uninstalling an app is as easy as dragging it to the Trash. The problem is, sometimes files get left behind.
This phenomenon is what has caused a few ‘app cleaners’ to show up for download across the internet, promising to fully uninstall apps with a the touch of a button. For all its ease of use, we do often find ourselves wishing OS X handled uninstalling apps a little more gracefully at times, but thankfully third-party developers have our backs, and one such developer has an app on the Mac App Store that might just be worth checking out.
Running at $5, App Zap isn’t the most expensive app out there, and if you’re like us – always installing and uninstalling apps – then the money may well be well spent.
What App Zap actually does is super simple. Either select the app to be uninstalled from the App Zap menus, or drag its icon to the Trash, and App Zap will go off and do its thing, finding all related files and deleting them.
App Zap has one function only and that is to get rid of unwanted apps and all their related files. Simplicity and security are the driving force behind the build. From the moment you click on the App Zap icon you need to be in control of removing apps in the most efficient and expedient fashion. If you click on the advanced function the app will search for all related files of the app to be eliminated.
In an age where we are all finding ourselves with SSD drives, we’re also finding ourselves with smaller hard disks than we have been used to. App management is becoming an important part of our lives, and keeping those unneeded files off our disks is vital.
For $5, App Zap may well be worth checking out.

Google restarts roll out of Android 4.0.2 update for Galaxy Nexus [Download]
A few weeks back the Galaxy Nexus users had reported about the device getting 4.0.2 update to their devices, but later we came to know that Google pulled off this update due to internal issues and now people from various countries using the Galaxy Nexus have reported that Android update 4.0.2 is rolling out for the GSM version.
With the 4.0.2 update it solves many bugs present in Android 4.0.1, other than that the face recognition has been improved, special effects when using front facing camera has also been improved, there has also been a visual improvement to the lockscreen. DivX support which is was present earlier has been removed but Google has promised that they will bring back the support in a later update, many other features have been enhanced and bugs have been solved.
With 4.0.3 already rolled out for the Nexus S, I wonder what is keeping Google back from updating the same version to the Galaxy Nexus, the 4.0.2 update was meant to be a month old update which has been rolled out now and they will be taking some more time to roll out the 4.0.3 update, or will they directly go to 4.0.4 without updating it to 4.0.3 and this update is just to make the users happy? Well this is possible.
If you can’t wait for the official update to come OTA on your device then you can download the factory image of the update from below and flash it using your recovery.
