Samsung upcoming WP7 Mango device revealed by Microsoft

A few days ago, we reported that Samsung will be launching the WP7 version of Galaxy S II and it will be Samsung’s first ever Mango device and guess what? Microsoft officially unveiled the Samsung upcoming device during the Microsoft Worldwide Partner conference this Tuesday and the device looks a lot like the SGS2. As you can in the image above, it features three traditional WP7 buttons (Home, Back, Search) and you can see it’s running on WP7. The device is thin and beautiful like the SGS2 and it seems that it features the same Super AMOLED display. Microsoft didn’t tell us about the specs of the device but I hope it will be cleared soon when they will officially launch WP7 devices in September.

This device will come as a successor to Omnia 7 which is considered as one of the best WP7 devices available in the market. As SGS2 is rocking the Android world at the moment, I am sure that this device will be one of the most anticipated Mango devices. Microsoft’s Andy Lee also confirmed that HTC, Acer, LG, ZTE, and Fujitsu will also launch new WP7 devices this year. So anyone out there looking forward to the WP7 brother of SGS2?

Nokia’s Android Experiments Revealed ?

Two days ago we got the Nokia N9 , yesterday the first Windows Phone running Nokia was revealed and today we get a glimpse at what could have been the first Android running Nokia phone. Once again the industrial design seems to be very much like the N9 which makes us think that the N9's body was the base design on which hardware was to be differentiated.

The unusually stretched screen image is probably due to the extra 4 pixels of the 854 x 480 screen used by Nokia on the N9. Check out another pic below this time showing off the screen closer up.

Eldar Murtazin of Mobile-Review maintains that if Nokia’s WP7 partnership with Microsoft fails you can expect an Android device in 2012. Could this image be a depiction of the backup that Nokia is working on ?

Samsung Galaxy S II USA Variants Revealed

Samsung has already released their flagship Galaxy S II in most of Europe and Asia. but it has yet to hit the North American market. The picture above shows a leak stating the three variants of the Galaxy S II in USA.

The names of the different USA variants of the Galaxy S II have been leaked from an accessory site. The three variants of the Galaxy S II are:

Samsung S2 (SII) Attain on AT&TSamsung S2 (SII) Function on VerizonSamsung S2 (SII) Within  on Sprint

The site says that the particular gel case will fit all the three devices which means that they might not be having different designs like in the case of the original Galaxy S variants. but instead maybe just minor changes compared to each other and the original Galaxy S II.

There is no mention of the T-Mobile version. This maybe because it might be getting a different device and hence the case wont fit it. Or maybe it isn’t coming to T-Mobile or might be releasing later.

[Video] Nokia N9 Revealed In Teaser Video

Last week we brought you glimpses of the Nokia N9 from the FCC database and now it is looking more and more likely that the phone is about to be revealed soon.

A teaser video showing off the N9 has just been put up by the guys at PocketNow. Not much can be gleaned from the video but the UI does seem to be very smooth and a far departure from Symbian. The camera too is a Carl Zeiss unit and not of the much criticized EDoF variety. The operating system is expected to be MeeGo though technically it is Maemo 6 with MeeGo bindings. Check out the video below.
