Motorola RAZR is now available in India for Rs. 29,990. The phone was launched in India last November for Rs. 33,990.It is just  7.1 mm thick and has KEVLAR fiber at the back. It features 4.3-inch (960 x 540 pixels) Super AMOLED hyper-vibrant display and it is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core processor and runs on Android Gingerbread 2.3.5.

It comes with a 8MP rear camera with 1080p HD video capture and image stabilization and front-facing HD camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, 1GB RAM, 16 GB on board and 16 GB microSD card pre-installed and a powerful 1780 mAh battery.

Research In Motion (RIM) has announced their new festive offer in India. They had announced similar festive offer for Diwali. The BlackBerry Playbook was launched in India this June and it comes in 16 GB, 32GB and 64GB variants.

New prices for BlackBerry PlayBook in India

16 GB – Rs.13,490

32 GB – Rs. 15,990

64 GB – Rs.24,490

The offer is valid till December 31st 2011 and it is available at all BlackBerry retail outlets across the country. There was news about the price drops since evening and we just got confirmation from BlackBerry that such an offer exists.

When HTC launched the 3G+WiFi of it’s 7 inch Android tablet in India for Rs.39890 in June this year , we were immensely disappointed about the price tag. It was an impressive tablet with decent battery life. Now if you gave the Flyer a pass for the same reason, good news for you. The price of the tablet has been cut by almost 50%. It has now available for Rs.23900 on Flipkart and Rs.23990 on LeysBuy. Some retailers are still selling it at around Rs.35000.

Just to let you know HTC launched the Flyer at Mobile World Congress in Feb 2011. We are barely a couple of months away from MWC 2012 and we might see a new version of the Flyer at the event. So the Flyer might be reaching End-Of-Life soon.

But how many of are interested to pick up a Flyer at Rs.23900 ?

Motorola unveiled the Motorola Xoom 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition, Android Honeycomb tablets yesterday. The Clove UK, online retail site has announced the prices of the Motorola Xoom 2 and XOOM 2 Media Edition tablets and they are taking pre-orders for these tablets.

The Motorola Xoom 2 features 10.1 inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass, Splash-guard and special flattened edges for easier holding. and the XOOM 2 Media Edition features 8.2 inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass with Display optimisation for wide 178 degree viewing angles.

Both these tablets are powered by 1.2 GHz processor and runs on Android 3.2 (Honeycomb). Both these tablets comes with 1.3 MP front and 5 MP rear-facing HD cameras with digital zoom, auto focus, and LED flash, 1GB RAM and 16 GB storage. Both these tablets comes with MotoCast that lets you access and stream your files from your PC or Mac to your tablet.

The Wi-Fi variants of the Motorola XOOM 2  is priced at £325 (US$520), (£390 inc. VAT) and Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition is priced at £299 (US$479), (£385 inc. VAT). Both the Motorola XOOM 2 and the Motorola XOOM 2 Media Edition are now available for pre-order from Clove UK site and are expected to ship within the end of November. The 3G versions of these tablets are likely to arrive soon, but the prices and availability are not announced yet.

Samsung and Google have announced the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich device the Samsung Galaxy Nexus at an event in Hong Kong today and folks from SammyHub have got hold of the pricing and the availability

The price is not cheap considering only the European prices are out. The Galaxy Nexus might cost 817 USD in Denmark and as much as 897 USD in Finland. We are sure the price of the device in Asia will be much lesser. Also it is possible that the device will be available in Europe with some carriers on a contract. The device is most likely to hit stores at least in some countries by November this year.

UPDATE: UK Retailer Clove has released the price for the Galaxy Nexus 16GB version. The device will cost 429 pounds (678 USD) (£514.80/814 USD including  VAT) in the UK and stocks are expected in early November.

The device does have impressive specs including a 1.2 GHz Dual Core processor , 1GB RAM, LTE support in a select markets , 4.65 inch display with 1280×720 px resolution , 5 MP Camera , NFC . It weighs about 135 grams and packs a 1750 mAh battery. And last but not the least it runs on the latest version of Android , Ice Cream Sandwich.

Following the announcement of the Amazon Fire , major tablet manufacturers have started dropping prices on their offerings. The latest in this line of price drops is HTC.

The HTC Flyer is a 7? tablet powered by a  1.5 GHz single core Qualcomm processor and comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage on the lower end model. The USP of the Flyer is its support for a digital pen. The Flyer is now being discounted to just $299 at Best Buy ie 200 dollars off the previous price tag. Samsung has announced Summer Splash at the Samsung apps site that offers Bada apps at the discounted prices. There are a total of 70 Bada apps that are available for Wave(GT-S8500) and Wave II(GT-S8530) at 20 % discount and some apps are also free.

These apps are selected from this year’s top paid-for app list and there are range of apps in the categories like Games, Navigation and productivity.

Some of the Games include, Fruit Ninja, Shrek Forever After HD, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction HD, PES 2011 – Pro Evolution Soccer, Earthworm Jim HD, Brothers In Arms 2: Global Front HD.The productivity apps include, Picsel Smart Office, Google Translate and Mobile maps for countries like India, Germany, Italy, France, Russia and Ireland.

Looks like Apple is just heating up the mobile phone war in India. After launching the iPhone 4 in India recently , it has now launched the 8GB version of the iPhone 3GS in the country. BGR is reporting that the 3GS has been launched for Rs.19990. Apple has always been blamed for making the iPhone a costly affair in India and look like all that is going to change.  The price of the 8GB 3GS iPhone might send a shiver down the spine of Nokia and Samsung who pretty much dominate the category.

Just bear in mind that the 3GS is about 2 years old and does not have all the bells and whistles of the iPhone 4 , but it’s still an iPhone. The 3GS was actually launched last year in India in July and prices were set at 32K for a 16gig version and 39K for a 32gig version.8GB is pretty less if you plan to do heavy gaming or load a lot of movies. The space available to the user is around 7GB.

UPDATE: We are also hearing from our sources that it’s going to be sold factory unlocked and stocks are already available.

We are hearing about the HTC Merge from last year and we have seen a lot of leaked screenshots of it, and HTC officially announced it back in February. As it’s a CDMA device, we were assuming that it will hit either Sprint or Verizon, and we first saw it with Verizon Wireless branding but it looks like the device is now going to hit US Cellular, because they officially announced it. US Cellular is the seventh largest US network, and they are offering several low-end and other mid-range phones. HTC Merge actually looks like a CDMA version of T-Mobile G2, there is a little difference in design and the main difference is that it also features Sense UI. When we first heard about this device last year, the specs felt amazing but now, we are living in the world where dual-core phones are the next thing. Merge comes with Android 2.2, 3.8 inch display, side-sliding QWERTY keyboard, an 800MHz Scorpion processor, a 5 MP camera with flash and a lot of other stuff. If you want to buy one from US Cellular, then you will be able to get it for $149.99 with a 2-yr contact and $100 rebate. They are officially launching it on May 31st, so call your local US Cellular store to check availability before hitting the store.

We are hearing about HTC Trophy from a long time now, which is actually Verizon’s first ever WP7 device. Back at the CTIA, AT&T officially announced the HTC HD7S which is currently available at T-Mobile USA as HTC HD7. AT&T didn’t tell us when they will launch it, so folks who are looking forward for it are waiting from a long time now. Now AT&T officially announced via their Facebook page that they will launch this device officially on June 5th and it will go for $199.99. HTC HD7 is successor to the famous HD2, which is known as one of the best Windows Mobile devices out there. HD7S comes with a 4.3 Inch Super LCD display and that’s the only difference between AT&T and T-Mobile version of HD7. The display is huge, so if you are currently using a HD2, then using this device will not be a problem for you.

So folks, mark you calendars because June 5th is the day when you will be able to get your hands on the HD7S. So anyone getting it next week?
