LG has posted a teaser video of their new Android Smartphone, Optimus Vu that would come with  a 5-inch display with 4:3 aspect ratio. This would have 1024 x 768 pixels IPS display and powered by 1.5GHz dual-core processor according to Datacider. It would run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

It is also said to come with an 8-megapixel camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB ROM and NFC support. This would come with LTE support and is expected to launch in Korea in Q1 2012.

LG India has officially launched 2 new Android phones, LG Optimus Pro and Optimus Net. These phones run on Android 2.3 and powered by 800 MHz CPU. The LG Optimus PRO has the combination of touch and QWERTY and features a unique Portrait Touch Screen that allows user to read and write up to 16 lines as compared to 8-10 lines in the normal screens. The QWERTY keypad with dedicated shortcuts will enable smartphone users to multitask. LG Optimus NET comes with Social +, unique social media aggregator which enables smartphone users to get updates, events of popular social networking portals in a widget on the home screen.

The LG Optimus Pro has 2.8-inch capacitive touch portrait display,3MP camera, Wi-Fi, aGPS, FM radio and Bluetooth. It is 12.9mm thick and weighs 128g. It comes with a expandable memory upto 32GB with Micro SD.

LG Optimus Net comes with 3.2-inch HVGA display. It comes with LG SmartShare function allows easy sharing of content with other DLNA-friendly devices. It is 11.7mm thick and comes with 3MP camera, Wi-Fi, aGPS, FM radio, Bluetooth and expandable memory upto 32GB with Micro SD. Both the Optimus Pro and Optimus Net boast 1500mAh battery.

LG partners with Reliance to offer new plans on Reliance 3G for both prepaid and postpaid customers on purchase of LG Optimus 3D. These plans offer Free Voice, SMS, 3G Data and VAS services like Mobile TV pack. The LG Optimus 3D was launched in India last month. This offer is also available in 2G circles.

LG has launched the world’s first 3D smartphone, Optimus 3D in India. This phone is also the world’s first phone to feature tri-dual (dual-core, dual-channel and dual-memory) architecture. The phone has dual 5MP lens camera allows users to capture images and videos in 3D. It has 4.3-inch WVGA display that lets the users experience 3D without the use of glasses.

It runs on Android v2.2 and has Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor, Dual 5MP camera with LED flash, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS. It comes with 8 GB internal memory that could be expanded up to 32GB with MicroSD, 512 MB RAM and a 1500 mAh battery.

It also features 3D interface that could be accessed with the click of LG’s unique 3D Hot Key which presents five 3D- dedicated UIs, including Gallery Camera, Game & Apps, YouTube 3D and 3D Guide. The users could also view and upload content on YouTube’s dedicated 3D channel. The 3D content could be shared via an HDMI 1.4 connection to 3D TVs and monitors and DLNA Certified products.

The LG Optimus 3D is priced at Rs. 37,000 and would be available in the Indian market from September 2011.

Another phone in the Optimus series, LG Optimus Pro has been spotted in Italy. This phone has Full QWERTY with a 2.8 inch capacitive touch screen, and it is aimed at business users. This phone runs Android 2.3 (Gingerbread).

Other features of the phone include, 800MHz processor, 1500mAh battery, 3.2 MP camera, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. It has 150MB internal memory. The QWERTY keyboard has shortcuts for web, calendar and mail.

The hardware specs are similar to Samsung Galaxy Pro that was launched recently that runs Android 2.2. This phone is priced at 179 € ( US$ 225) and is already in sale in Italy.

We are lucky to get our hands on the LG Optimus 3D which is the world’s first 3D phone and the world’s first 3D smartphone. The 3D experience does not require you to wear 3D glasses as the phone packs a glassless/glassfree 3D display. The phone has a pretty big 4.3 inch display with 4 touch sensitive backlit keys below the display.

On the back you have the Dual 5MP Cameras with a LED Flash.

You have a dedicated 3D key on the right in the same place you would normally find a camera key.  It takes you to the 3D menu from where you can access the Camera , Games , Youtube 3D  and all your 3D content.

The LG Optimus Black which we got our hands on at Mobile World Congress has been available in India for some time now and now we have official confirmation of the launch with LG calling it the World’s Brightest Smartphone. The device is priced at Rs.20990 MRP and is available for around Rs.19990 in the market. The specialty of the Optimus Black is the 4 inch NOVA IPS LCD Display. LG officially announced their first ever phone with 3D technology at MWC which is known as LG Optimus 3D. LG Optimus 3D is an amazing device and it features a glasses-free 3D display. People who are impressed by its 3D technology are really looking forward to it and if you live in UK, and want to get your hands on it, then it looks like you can fulfill your dream. Clove UK is offering it for a big price of £454 and it’s coming out in June and you can pre-order the unlocked version. UK retailer BuyMobilePhones is offering the Optimus 3D and it’s up for pre-order now, but if you are thinking that it’s only available in unlocked version and you have to pay some big cash for it, then stop thinking it because they are offering it for free with a 2-yr contract. LG recently launched the Android powered Optimus Black smartphone. This handset currently runs on the Android 2.2 (FroYo) OS, but it can be later updated to the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. This handset comes with a 4 inch NOVA display, which is designed to be the brightest, clearest and most readable among mobile screens with 700 nits of brightness for optimal visibility.

According to LG, the NOVA display on LG Optimus Black also reduces the power consumption by 50 percent during general indoor use compared to a conventional LCD display. NOVA display offers a higher level of brightness, which allows the users to browse the web, read emails or write documents easily and with natural experience.

LG Optimus Black comes with the Wi-Fi Direct technology, which is designed for quick and high-quality data transfer between mobile devices. Recently we posted that, the price of Optimus 2X have been unofficially revealed by CDon, a popular online retailer in Sweden. This handset is expected to come with a price tag of $730. And now, LG officially announced the availability of this smartphone.

LG managed to sell more than 1 million units of Optimus One in just 40 days and now, within a month LG crossed another milestone. LG finally sold more than 2 million units of its popular entry-level touchscreen phone, the LG Optimus One. The company supplied 1.3 million units in North America, 450,000 units in South Korea, 200,000 units in Europe and 50,000 units in Asia.

LG Optimus One is powered by the Android 2.2 (FroYo) operating system and it will be soon updated to the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. In the US, LG Optimus One is available in 5 different flavors – LG Vortex for Verizon, Optimus S for Sprint, Optimus T for T-Mobile, Optimus M for Metro PCS and Optimus U for US Cellular.

This handset will be available on the airwaves of AT&T by early next year. LG is expected to sell more than 10 million units of LG Optimus One.
